Kelly Woodward is the Interim General Manager (GM) for George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH). She brings 24 years of professional aviation experience with 16 years directly related to airport operations.
Ms. Woodward is responsible for the daily operations of Houston's largest airport and the development and implementation of its policies and procedures.
For the last 16 years, Ms. Woodward served in multiple leadership roles at IAH. As IAH’s DM, Custodial Services, Ms. Woodward managed the daily operations of IAH’s Custodial Services section, which has an $11 million operating budget and 153 HAS team members. Ms. Woodward and her team were instrumental in leading IAH to a Skytrax 4-Star airport rating by improving the overall airport cleanliness standards. She also oversaw the implementation, training and rollout of IAH’s Smart Restroom technology to enhance restroom efficiency at the airports.
Ms. Woodward has also worked as an Airport Operations Supervisor at IAH, Acting Contract Services Superintendent and Airport Operations Coordinator. Previously, Ms. Woodward held various aviation roles at Embry Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Florida as a Flight Instructor, Safety Leader and a Flight Supervisor.
Ms. Woodward holds Master and Bachelor of Science Degrees from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University in Aeronautical Science with dual specializations in Aviation/Aerospace Safety Systems and Aviation/Aerospace Operations and a minor in Aviation Weather. She’s an American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) Certified Member (CM) and holds a FAA Commercial Pilot/Flight Instructor certificate with over 1200 hours of flight time.
