Harleen Hines Smith is the Chief Human Resources Officer for the Houston Airport System (HAS). She leads human resource functions for all three airports impacting over 1,200 employees.

With more than 15 years of human resources experience in the private sector, Smith is working to make Houston Airport System an employer of choice. She manages the Human Capital Management department, and her areas of responsibility include human resources business partnerships, client relations, payroll, benefits and talent development.

Before joining the Houston Airport System, Smith served as the Senior Vice President of Human Resources at Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation (HSBC). There she led human resource strategy and objectives for their retail card services. Prior to HSBC, she held senior leadership roles at JP Morgan Chase, where she worked for over 18 years.

Smith received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from Franklin University.
